Grand Illusion

It's graduation season!!  So do you know what that means??  Tons of taco trucks, cake and alcohol.... I had a lot graduations to attend today, so I wanted to feel comfortable and look chic at the same time!  As I've said in a previous post, I love my shoes! Got them on sale, great color and super comfortable... you can't go wrong!  My J. Crew mint colored jeans are great for summer not just because of the color, but they aren't really thick jeans (not like how True Religion jeans are).   My pastel blouse from H&M was a great touch!  Sitting in the sun all day was horrific, but the sheer blouse was comfortable while in the sun!  I was able to breathe and catch the breeze with it.... and my necklace adds a nice touch of color to my blouse.  I spent no m ore than $15 on he necklace too.

You Make Me Feel So Young

Obviously I am listening to good ol' Frank Sinatra as I post this...

Today was a bit colder than it recently has been.  A simple sweater was a great touch to keep me warm from the breeze.  I got the cream sweater from H&M a year or so ago, form their DANCE collection.  I love the color and length on this sweater...it's perfect for practically any outfit.  My blouse I got on SALE at a little store called Francesca's.   The store is adorable and every so often you can find great items that can work with anything.    My Volcom jeans are rockin'!!!   The pastel yellow is a great touch of color that can go with many other colors...I felt like the sky blue blouse was a wonderful match to them.  The jewelry is simplistic, but a perfect addition to my outfit.   I got the gold necklaces and earrings from Saks Fifth Avenue years ago...I LOVE THEM!  The best item of my outfit are, of course, my shoes... TORY BURCH!!  I got these bad boys on SALE!   If you go to Nordstrom Rack at the right time, you are always bound to leave with a great item!!  Last week I went to the one close to my house and found these lovely leopard printed gem incrusted flats for $150 (originally starting at $350+)!!!     Aren't sales the best?

The Unforgettable Season Look

This is an appropriate look for Spring time, due to the bright floral skirt and pastel pink blouse.  Personally, I'm in love with my shoes!  I think they complete the outfit because of the two tones of purple.  the suede is a bright lavender (accentuating the bright florals in my skirt), lined by a dark purple stitching.  I am a lover for anything vintage.  My Gucci purse, given to me by my grandmother, adds a nice classic touch to this look.   It's perfect for any sophisticated occasion- graduation, work, or even lunch with the girls.

The best part of this entire look is that every item was one sale!  The blouse was originally $150+ at Nordstrom, but I got it for $60.   My skirt, from Banana Republic, was originally $90+ before I got it for $35.  Finally, my Steve Madden shoes originally started at $150 at Nordstrom, but I got them for no more than $50!   Saving money is my favorite way to shop, wouldn't you think so too?
